Harp Carrying Cases
We offer two different types of carrying cases, the standard and the deluxe. Both cases have full zipper openings, have all the straps, handles and pockets you need and are waterproof. They will protect your harp from scratches and bumps that happen during transport, as well as insulating your harp from rapid temperature changes. All Heartland harps come with the case included in the price of the harp.

The deluxe cases, pictured on the left above, have a very heavy duty nylon outer shell, 1/2" foam mid-liner, and a soft fabric inner liner. The straps are leather and nylon, and there's a padded flap under the zipper to protect the harp from the zipper. These are very heavy-duty cases that almost feel like a piece of luggage. Available in forest green.

The standard, lightweight cases are specifically designed for the carbon fiber harps. They're very well made, but don't come with the padding of the wood harp cases, because of the durability of the carbon fiber. These cases are designed to protect your harp without adding any more weight than necessary.

The deluxe case is included in the price of the Sylvan and DragonHeart. The standard, lightweight case is included in the price of both the Delight and the Infinity

Electronic Tuner
We offer the Korg CA30 tuner, which works well with the harp. We supply it with a small clip pickup, so you can tune your harp even in a noisy room. Each string will be registered, along with an indication of how 'in tune' it is. Simply turn the tuning pin, using your tuning wrench, until the Korg CA30 tuner indicates that your harp is in tune.

Korg CA30 Electronic tuner w/pickup: $35

Harp Wheel Units

Wheels
With the Delight, the DragonHeart and the Sylvan, you have the option of wheels. This wheel base can be used in two ways:

  • you can slide it in the pocket at the bottom of your case, so that your wheeled case moves easily, even up and down stairs, or
  • you can put the wheel base on the bottom of your uncased harp, if you'd like to move it easily from room to room in your home.
  • Wheel unit: $100

    Strings
If you have nylon strings on your harp, you'll need to change the strings every year and a half to two years. Also, very occasionally, a string will break. It's nice to have a spare string to put on immediately, and since your strings don't age in the bag, when you're ready to replace your strings, just order another spare set, and put your spare on your harp. We're happy to provide spare string sets with new orders - if you already own your Heartland Harp, call Vermont Strings to re-order at 802-244-8564.

If you have fluorocarbon strings, you can still get spares or sets from Vermont Strings, but you'll only need to change the nylon top register and the wires in the bass every two years or so. Joan at Vermont Strings can provide you with partial sets to take care of this, as well. Gut strings should be changed every year or so, and can be ordered through Heartland. We also have both string charts and string changing directions on our website for all current Heartland models.

    Amplification
We can install a Fishman single-transducer pickup in your harp, or a 4-transducer model, as well. Either of these enables you to plug your harp into most amplifiers or amplification systems without using a microphone. Being amplified couldn't be easier!

    Fishman pickup installed: $100
    4-transducer pickup installed: $395
