"I would like to let you know how much I enjoy my new Serenity Therapy Harp. The tone is so lovely and mellow ... and it is only 4 weeks young!! I am a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner and I bring my Serenity Therapy Harp with me when I play harp, bedside, for patients in hospices and hospitals. The beauty of the harp is so very calming and yet captures the attention of the listeners first by the lovely ivy design. The tone is so mellow and calming. I especially like the light weight of the harp and its curved design. It is such a joy to carry from one patient's room to another without worry of transporting much weight at all. The curved design fits against me and the improvisations in modal music just spring from my finger tips! Thank you for designing such a beautiful instrument that I, and many others, can utilize in palliative care as Therapeutic Harp Practitioners."

"I want
you to know how much I love my DragonHeart. It is just now
beginning to sink in that I have her. She is still a
wonderful surprise every morning when I get up. Her sound
is so rich and beautiful. The full, round tones and warm
ring fill in all of the space around me. The shape of the
harp fits me perfectly therefore it is incredibly
comfortable to play. It's as if the tone and the shape
together wrap both the player and the listener in a
wonderful blanket of comfort. I so love playing her and
I'm playing A LOT. This whole experience has been one that
I will carry with me for my whole life. I sincerely hope
that at some point I will be able to do something similar
for someone to keep the spirit flowing forward."
"I've
been a player of another make of harp for over 17 years.
Of the four generations of harpers in my family, 3 of
those generations have all played this other make of harp.
And then last August (2004), I met Pamela at a juried art
show and saw Heartland's amazing harps. They literally
took my breath away. I greedily played every harp Pam
would allow me access to in her booth... I could hear
myself in a noisy convention hall! I had to have one. My
husband pointed out that I couldn't fit 3 full sized lever
harps in the music room... and that one would have to go.
In the most painful decision I have ever made (it felt as
if I were selling my child), I decided to sell Merlin, a
36-string maple harp. It sold in less than a day. I didn't
look back.
It was so exciting to know that a harp was being created
just for me! This wasn't a harp off a production line...
it was a one-of-a-kind (very personal artwork) creation. I
anticipated its arrival like I was going to give birth. I
constantly emailed Dave and Pamela - who were amazingly
patient with me! They were always timely in their
responses - their follow-through was impeccable.
My Dragonheart (Kairos) arrived on a Wednesday afternoon -
after I chased the FedEx truck down the street (he
couldn't find my house)...I've received new harps before
that weren't packed as well as Kairos. Out of the box, it
was only incrementally off - amazing since it had been
strung for less than 3 days! By Saturday of that same week
- I was using Kairos for weddings. New harps are
notoriously awful sounding... a new harp, is a new harp,
is a new harp. Not Heartland harps... the sound of this
new harp of less than a week since it was strung was
astounding. I felt confident to perform with it
immediately!
In the four months that I have had Kairos, Figment (my
other harp) hasn't left the house. My students use him for
their lessons...and Figment does sound great. But
Kairos... 1/2 the weight, larger range, bigger sound,
Truitt levers and personalized. He truly lives up to the
meaning of his name: "to step outside our awareness of
chronological time."
"I am so amazed at the quality of the sound, the way it fits ME, and the artistry and devotion that went into creating this instrument."
"On all my concerts I use both a concert
grand (pedal) harp and a Dragonheart celtic harp. I
love to use the Dragonheart to show a more authentic
color of sound for the Renaissance, celtic and Irish
music I perform. Then I use the grand for the romantic
and impressionistic music and for the popular and
broadway tunes. The contrast in sound is so effective.
After each performance, people tell me the Dragonheart
is the most beautiful and unique harp they have ever
seen! The Dragonheart is the perfect harp for
accompanying the voice, which is important to me since
I sing Irish and Scottish songs in my concerts. Not
only is the sound great for complimenting the voice,
but the shape encourages the best posture for vocal
support. The Heartland Dragonheart is featured in my
latest recording, a DVD entitled "Victoria Lynn - Live
in Concert," and clips will be on my website,
www.victoriaschultz.com."
"I bought my DragonHeart because I believe it has the most beautiful sound of any lever harp I have heard. The sound is clear, yet not too bright; warm, yet not too dark. I also love the Truitt levers. They require almost no effort to work, and the shape allows me to sharp two octaves at time. The shape and stiffness of other levers I've had didn't allow this. I love the beautiful, arched line of the Heartland Harps. They remind me of a seabird skimming the water. Pamela worked hard to create a custom design for my harp which I really love. My experience of planning, purchasing, and playing this harp has been a real pleasure."
"I am absolutely
delighted with my new Vesta Harp from Heartland Harps & Music. Dave
Woodworth & Pamela Bruner have created a beautiful work of art as well
as a terrific musical instrument."
"I love the tone, range and portability of my walnut Aurora. It has a warm, mellow and full voice, the best of any small harp I've heard. The woodwork is superb and the artwork is beautiful and unique, because Pamela and Dave take the time to listen to exactly what you want."
"I play my Aurora almost daily since I got it and am still in love with its beautiful sound and design. Thank you for making the perfect harp for me!"
